Courage doesn’t always roar..

Their names are Martin, Mikuláš, Honza and Honza and they decided to go above and beyond. Their actions show extraordinary courage and dedication. As professional movers, they decided to offer their services for free to help individuals with hoarding disorder - a condition often neglected - to clear out their apartments and start fresh. It embodies the true spirit of generosity, and their selflessness and hard work is deeply inspiring.

They gave me a chance to photograph them for which I’m very grateful. It took place in the home of a person who had been hoarding for a painfully long time. It was the first time that they allowed anyone inside. The experience was heavy but also full of hope and incredibly moving. They were carefully going through their belongings while respecting the owner’s story. It wasn’t just about cleaning—it felt like a step toward healing and reconnecting. I hope these photos show the humanity of this experience—the bravery of letting someone in after so long, and the kindness and the profound dedication of those who step in to help.
